I'm actually kind of disappointed ECU didn't play in the CBI only because I think it would have been good for a young team, coach, and the program. It makes complete sense this season, especially trying to develop a young team as they say they want to do. Whereas, in year 3 or 4, it's just slapping lipstick on a pig and disappointing. ECU had a team good enough to win the CBI this year, get to a winning season, and maybe get 20 wins and a trophy. It was all on the table.
On the other hand as someone that has written about almost all the games this is what it feels like to endure ECU basketball at times from game to game. I could have endured more, and wanted to endure more in the CBI, but
