UNCW lost most of their good players but they still returned Shykeim Phillips. He is from
the Greenville area and reportedly wanted to play at ECU. There is a revenge aspect if he even still cares. Probably not, with that CBI Championship (that's a joke).
UNCW overall plays fast and a ton of players. No one players really stands out on this team other than maybe Phillips, and Phillips hasn't played as well as last year. He not even playing but 25 minutes a game anyway.
UNCW did play the Tarheels pretty somewhat competitive, but who doesn't these days. They have what I would call a marquee win vs North Texas. There isn't much else going on the schedule as they still only rank 197th with it. UNCW is projected to finish with a 150 NET, ECU with a 239 NET so there is that.
They can't shoot the ball, only shooting 28.8% (317th) from three, on a 215th volume. At least ECU shouldn't expect them to shoot them out of the building. There 2 point FG% is even worse some how at 40% (355th). Basically there halfcourt offense is terrible. What ECU needs to focus on tonight is not getting turned over by them and letting them score in transition or fouling and putting them on the line. Those are the things they do well.
