Game 7 Preview: ODU

ECU will have its hands full with this ODU team on the road.  ODU is 3-3, but they have a big win over a legit Furman team on a neutral court. They also played Virginia Tech and Davidson really closely as well. They do have one subpar loss, but on the road to Drexel. I've listed the scores and the current rank of their schedule.  ODU is ranked #162 currently themselves.

They have a tight rotation led by 4 transfers in their top 5, including one from Kinston (D. Williams)

Stanley is the biggest concern. He came from Xavier most recently but he is most known for averaging 22ppg, 7.2rpg at Hampton as a Sophomore.  He's a big-time player. Scott-Grayson was a solid 12.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.5apg guard from the CAA team last year. He averaged 10ppg 2 years at UAB including one on a top 100 team. Jenkins was a bit player for Wichita State last year.

ODU isn't good defensively at #264th, and they have a marginal offense at #140.  It's not an offense ECU will have to worry about the 3-pointer much as they are 350+ is three's made and attempts.  The interior defense will have to stand up big in this game vs Stanley.

The environment ECU will go into is going to be difficult as ODU is one of the most well-supported mid-major programs in the nation. They averaged 5k fans last year even when they have a losing record. It's going to be a tough place to go into and win.
